About the Role

Working closely with the General Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the pub, helping to ensure everything runs smoothly while maintaining the highest standards of food, drink and service.

You will be a hands-on leader, leading by example, motivating the team and making sure every guest enjoys a warm welcome and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the General Manager in the overall running of the business.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the front-of-house team.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Maintain high standards of food, drink, cleanliness and presentation.
  • Assist with staff rotas, training and recruitment.
  • Monitor stock, ordering, wastage and costs.
  • Ensure all health and safety, licensing and food hygiene standards are maintained.
  • Help drive sales, profitability and new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with regular customers and the local community.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Management role within a pub, restaurant or hospitality business.
  • A genuine passion for hospitality, food and drink.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • A positive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front.
  • Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of sales, labour and cost control.
  • Someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a close-knit team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • The opportunity to be part of a friendly, supportive team.
  • A varied and rewarding role with real responsibility.
  • Opportunities for development and progression.
  • The chance to make a real difference to a well-loved community pub.
