Want to work with an award-winning and rapidly expanding company? We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Manager, who will play a significant role in creating and shaping the HR function moving forward. You will be based at Compassionate Care Group’s head office in Ashley, Altrincham (near Manchester Airport) and will support the business in a stand-alone role by providing end to end HR support across the Group.  There is significant opportunity for the right candidate to build and develop a new HR team with future career progression to People Director and beyond.  We’re looking for a creative, organised, and energetic HR Manager to help us create the best possible company for our people. 


The HR Manager role:

  • Provide timely, responsive and effective HR advice for key players on a range of matters relating to employee relations, management of staff, performance management
  • Advising on policies and procedures
  • Deliver HR and induction training for new starters
  • Produce excellent MI data to support with HR reporting
  • Overseeing the onboarding and exit process of all new starts and leavers, including preparation of employee contracts
  • Liaise with finance/payroll to ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries
  • To manage the holidays and absence process
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Review effectiveness of existing approach to reward, benefits and recognition.  Recommending improvements where required to establish a culture that celebrates success
  • Create the Wellbeing framework for the office and supporting employee engagement
  • Monitor and champion equality, diversity and inclusion
  • Complete a regular scheduled audit of HR processes to ensure compliance with all Employment Law, GDPR and regulations
  • Carry out any other duties deemed necessary for the successful operation of the business


The essentials for the HR Manager:

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified or above with a proven track record of working within a HR environment within small to medium sized business environments
  • Previous experience of managing an ER caseload from start to finish
  • A good knowledge of Employment Law and best practice and be confident in providing advice
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent IT skills- Microsoft Office and ability to produce and analyse data
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with staff and managers
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills with the ability to work calmly and accurately under pressure
  • Team player who is self-motivated, results driven and resilient
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Capable of meeting the challenges of a rapidly expanding company
