We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Events Assistant from a wedding, conference and banqueting background to support the Events Manager.

The hours for this role are scheduled on a rota basis, most events are in the evenings and weekends; however we can offer flexible hours

Overview of the role

The purpose of the role is to support the Events Manager and Sales Team in keeping our guests happy, holding food and drink tastings and ensure a smooth and perfect running of their special day.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Able to work in all areas of Food and Beverage including Bar, Restaurant, Conference and Events
• Welcome guests in a polite and friendly manner
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of all beverages and menu items enabling you to answer guest queries with confidence
• Responsible for opening and closing duties including the set up and break down of stations, clearing and re-setting of rooms and checking tables before service is provided
• Follow cash handling procedures
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
• Up-sell with latest company incentives
• Ensure compliance of brand standards

Events Assistant Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar guest facing role
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Be empowered to use your initiative to ensure guest satisfaction
• Ability to work under pressure, whilst maintaining a positive and can do attitude
• Guest focused with a genuine passion for delivering sensational service
