ASSISTENT GENERAL MANAGER| Copper Vine | New Orleans

Welcome to Copper Vine.

Housed in the storied building that was once home to Maylie's — one of New Orleans' oldest restaurants — Copper Vine is a wine-fueled contemporary American Restaurant & Inn in the heart of the Central Business District.

Since opening in 2018, Copper Vine has honored over a century of history while building something entirely its own.  With a newly opened Inn, upstairs private dining & event spaces, a restored 132-year-old bar, and a curated food & beverage program spanning Brunch, Happy Hour, and dinner service, Copper Vine brings together every element of hospitality to its high-volume restaurant and luxurious Inn in the heart of downtown, New Orleans.

If you're passionate about hospitality, inspired by thoughtful food and beverage, and energized by the opportunity to continue to grow something special, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do:

As the Assistant General Manager, you'll be responsible for supporting the GM by leading the Copper Vine operations team, creating memorable guest experiences via a curated Guest Journey, and assisting in day-to-day management of the food and beverage program across all meal periods.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Recruiting, hiring, training, and developing an exceptional service team.
  • Leading daily food and beverage operations with a hands-on presence on the floor.
  • Creating a culture rooted in genuine hospitality and personalized guest experiences.
  • Training servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff while setting the standard through your own leadership.
  • Managing scheduling, labor, productivity, inventory, and cost of sales.

  • Partnering with culinary leadership to deliver a seamless dining experience.
  • Engaging with guests through table touches, service recovery, and relationship building.
  • Training and refining operating procedures and service standards that are the foundation of Copper Vine’s food and beverage program.
  • Collaborate with the Sales & Events team to curate unforgettable celebrations and ensure every guest experiences exceptional hospitality at every touchpoint.
  • Continuously looking for ways to elevate the guest experience while improving operational efficiency.

Who You Are:

You're someone who believes hospitality is more than service, its creating moments people remember.

You thrive on the floor, enjoy mentoring others, and take pride in creating an atmosphere where both guests and team members feel welcomed.

You're equally comfortable discussing wine, cocktails, and cuisine as you are coaching a server, solving an operational challenge, or jumping in wherever needed.

Most importantly, you're excited by the opportunity to join an incredible team and help build something exceptional.
