Position Summary

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Design Specialist to join our brand marketing team. This role is responsible for supporting design projects across all communication touchpoints—including digital assets, social media, print materials, in-store POP, packaging, and signage. This includes work for brand campaigns, promotions, and corporate marketing. The ideal candidate has strong design fundamentals, a passion for storytelling, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The designer will also play a key role in maintaining and evolving Cafe Rio’s visual brand identity.

Responsibilities

Design Execution Across Channels

· Support design projects across all communication touchpoints including digital (email, web, app, sms), social media, print, in-store POP, packaging, and signage/menus.

· Creates designs, concepts, and final assets for brand campaigns, promotions, and corporate marketing materials

· Follow digital design best practices, including mobile responsiveness, usability, and clear call-to-action design

Brand Stewardship & Campaign Execution

· Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity across all digital and physical touchpoints

· Ensure brand consistency and creative quality in all deliverables

· Contribute to branding projects and creative campaign execution—from concept through final delivery

Collaboration & Project Execution

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agency partners including brand, loyalty, technology, and operations to ensure consistent brand storytelling across platforms

· Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

· Perform administrative functions related to graphic design, such as filing, organizing, and maintaining design assets, working files, templates, and photography libraries

· Work independently and asynchronously while maintaining accountability

Additional Support

· Support copywriting for campaigns and creative assets (a plus)

· Edit short-form video content for marketing campaigns (a plus)

· Photo and video production experience is (a plus)

Qualifications

Required:

· 3+ years of experience in graphic design (restaurant/retail experience is a plus)

· Strong portfolio showcasing both digital and print work

· Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

· Strong understanding of digital design best practices including mobile responsiveness, usability, and CTA design

· Excellent attention to detail and thrive in fast-paced environments

· Strong storytelling ability and creative problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet multiple deadlines

· Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Preferred:

· Completed art school or bachelor’s degree in graphic design or related field

· Copywriting skills; strong use of grammar and spelling

· Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Basecamp, Monday.com)

· Experience with restaurant industry tools or platforms (e.g., Olo, Punchh)

· Photo and video production and editing experience a plus
