Cafe Rio is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst with a strong foundation in financial forecasting and a specialization in operations analytics and data warehouse management. Reporting to the Manager of FP&A, this role will sit at the intersection of finance, operations, and data analytics, supporting critical business decisions through accurate reporting, scalable analytics, and operational insight.
This position is ideal for an analytically rigorous, detail-oriented professional who enjoys building and maintaining the infrastructure behind our data warehouse, as well as contributing to forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis.
Key Responsibilities
FP&A
Assist with annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting, partnering with Operations and Finance leaders
Contribute to weekly P&L “Flash” reporting
Perform ad hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and leadership decision-making
Operations Analytics
Own and enhance weekly labor reporting
Support operations KPI tracking, goal setting, and performance analysis
Analyze customer survey data to identify drivers of guest satisfaction and operational performance
Assist with food gap, customer thruput, and labor allocation analysis
Help provide forecasting & historical purchasing insights for purchasing team
Data Warehouse & Reporting
Serve as a key Finance partner for the data warehouse, including data validation and reconciliation, maintaining cross reference table (xref) and hierarchy updates and ensuring financial and operational data accuracy
Build, maintain, and enhance SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports and recurring excel based reporting
Act as a “first line” for troubleshooting data and reporting
Qualifications & Experience
3+ years of experience in FP&A, analytics, or finance (restaurant, retail, or multi-unit experience a plus)
Strong understanding of P&L drivers, especially labor and restaurant-level economics
Experience working with data warehouses, reporting tools, and BI platforms (Power BI and SQL querying experience strongly preferred)
Advanced Excel skills; comfort working with and manipulating large datasets
Proficient with other Microsoft Office tools, specifically PowerPoint
Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
