Description
We are looking for a Brand Controller to join our flock and take over our company's major reporting and reconciliation duties.
The Controller will be responsible for managing critical financial reporting aspects of multiple restaurant concepts. We need a professional with inherent leadership qualities, strategic vision, and attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting in all areas. The successful applicant will have a basic knowledge of how restaurants are run and have prior experience with financial reporting, completing a third-party audit, and managing a team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Master's Preferred)
- 2+ years experience in general accounting
- Experience with general ledger systems
- Advanced knowledge of ExcelÂ
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare accurate, timely financial statements per our established schedule and with input from the rest of the accounting department
- Conduct periodic and annual account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
- Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues that should be brought to the management's attention
- Review all inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Assist with the annual external financial statement audit
- Conduct regular ledger maintenance
- Perform basic treasury functions
- Manage receivables from restaurant house accounts and third-party delivery systems
- Assist with other duties as assigned by upper management
