Group Sales and Events Executive

Description

D&D London is a group of diverse restaurants, bars and hotels based principally in London, but also with venues in Paris and New York. It was founded by Des Gunewardena and David Loewi (the eponymous D and D) in 2006, following a buyout of Conran Restaurants. Since then the company has become a vital player in London’s famous restaurant scene, owning some of the capital’s most celebrated restaurants, including Quaglino’s, Le Pont de la Tour, Bluebird and Coq d’Argent. Located on the fifth floor of Trinity Leeds, Crafthouse offers views across the city from within the restaurant, and pays homage to Leeds’ rich culture and heritage with space dividers inspired by looms and ceiling rafts reminiscent of fabric reams. The menu is based on seasonal and locally sourced food prepared by our award-winning kitchen team.

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Events Executive to join the team. You will contribute to the delivery of the D&D London sales strategy and must have excellent communication and rapport-building skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maximise all revenue opportunities for events, up-selling as appropriate
• Ensure all enquiries are handled in accordance with agreed standards to maximize conversion
• Work to agreed targets and objectives for enquiries & bookings
• Use suggestive selling to influence the average spends
• Source, research and proactively contact new business prospects through the most appropriate channels
• Build long-term relationships with clients to secure repeat business
• Develop and maintain the agent, corporate, DMC and event organizer database
• Solicit feedback from clients by following up on each event to enhance the customer experience
• Implement and maintain high standards for all customers
• General administration support as required
• Attend and work on events at the restaurants and venues as requested

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proactive and enthusiastic, seeking opportunities to enhance the client experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Inbound telephone call handling experience
• Knowledge of restaurant and events industry
• Rational problem solver and ability to adjust to change
• Able to work under pressure
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel

D&D London is a collection of restaurants as individual as you are. Some of the benefits of working for us include:

• Substantial career progression
• Personal development and training - including the opportunity to complete the industry-leading D&D Diploma
• 28 days holiday that increases with length of service
• Free meals on duty
• 40% discount in all D&D London restaurants
