We are looking for a dynamic, passionate & creative Head Chef who is a true leader to join us at Craft Locals.

+ £40,000 - 45,500 a yearly salary depending on experience

+ £500 sign-on bonus after successful completion of the probation period

+ A bonus upon delivering targets.

Just moments from Arnos Grove station and twenty minutes from Kings Cross on the Piccadilly Line sits our large, vibrant & independently-owned pub.

We are looking for a fantastic Head Chef to join our team who can help take our food offering from traditional pub classics to a gastro pub level. With 200 covers inside and 350 outdoors, we are looking for someone who is passionate and able to deliver for a large number of guests  and help implement our new outdoor pizza experience which will supplement our existing kitchen.

What will my role include?
  • Opportunity to write & design menus, seasonal dishes, special event menus & specials
  • Manage, motivate, and train the large team to their full potential
  • Flawless execution of cooking exceptional dishes 
  • Use of digital systems to manage theoretical & actual GPs (Market Man, Trail, Surefoot)
  • Be responsible for the kitchen’s financial performance which will lead to attractive rewards

Requirements?

  • Experienced in high volume kitchens in Gastro pubs circa £12k of net food sales for at least 2 years 
  • Proven track record of writing menus & developing dishes 
  • Have experience in negotiating with suppliers and driving quality and strengthening relationships
  • Hold regular team meetings and training sessions, ensuring the whole team is a part of, and understands the big and small goals every day
  • Able to cost dishes, write recipes, manage a labor target, and manage food profit margins effectively and efficiently 
  • Ensure HACCP and all legal documents are accurate and up to date. Be able to ensure staffing levels are correct and wage targets are achieved.
  • A great leader and communicator
