Goodbye 2020, hello to a hopeful 2021! Cubitt House is proud to be in a position to grow our award-winning group of gastro pubs, with expansion in our sights for 2021 and beyond! 

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head Chef to join the team at Cubitt House, an award winning Gastro Pub group serving a fresh food menu of British dishes, with a focus on local suppliers and sustainable ingredients.  

Experience in a similar role and passionate knowledge of British cuisine and local ingredients is a MUST. Our ideal candidate will have a proven track record of working in a fine dining and high-volume kitchen, sharing our passion for amazing seasonal produce and menu creativity. Confident management of all safety requirements, labour and food margins. Above all you must be passionate about training and developing your team, working closely with the senior management team in your pub.
 
A desire to deliver the absolute best experience for our guests and team is a must.

The successful Head Chef will:
- Have had experience of a fine dining kitchen, holding a Head Chef role for a minimum of 3 years cooking fresh ingredients/seasonal dishes
- Have menu/dish creation experience, writing recipes and producing specs, whilst training menus into teams and overseeing consistent delivery of dishes
- Have stock management and labour planning experience, able to work to budgets and deliver ratios. 
- Maintain a 5-star EHO rated kitchen
- Have the ability to adapt, change and learn on the job.
- Show a passionate desire to delight our guests.
- Enjoy working in a busy kitchen environment.
- Have excellent communication skills and strong leadership qualities. 
- Show initiative to take on new challenges and solve problems as they arise.
- Be happy to work as part of a team, whilst being able to work independently when required.
- Have an NI number and proof of their eligibility to work within the UK, Settled status for EU citizenship.
