Events Manager Position

Cubitt House is an award-winning group of gastro pubs, with five highly acclaimed public house and restaurants in prestigious Central London locations, two of which have boutique hotel rooms. We are a dynamic group that is expanding our portfolio throughout 2021 and beyond, with our newest opening scheduled for the beginning of next year.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Events Manager to join the team. To maximise sales of events and large bookings throughout the Cubitt House estate by reactively handling all enquiries from first contact through to completion, and proactively seeking new corporate business by building new relationships with local businesses, events agencies and the tourism industry.

Maintaining communication with the client and the venue’s front of house and kitchen teams to ensure each function space is used to its best ability, maximising sales potential and driving business growth.

To consistently deliver our Cubitt House standards, ensuring that everything you do is carefully crafted and expertly delivered. You are an ambassador for Cubitt House and inspire your team to provide the warmest welcome for all who enter and genuine heartfelt hospitality throughout their journey with us.

Responsible for: Co-ordinating, organising and increasing the revenue generated from all event and large group bookings for the Cubitt House venues.

Key Responsibilities:
- To meet and aim to exceed financial targets set for Events sales business.
- Work closely with the General Managers on site to ensure every opportunity is taken to secure bookings that will maximise capacity and revenue.
- Promptly react to all incoming event and large group enquiries, aiming to convert it to a confirmed booking that will increase sales for the venue.
- Proactively generate sales leads from within the events, local business and domestic community.
- Host venue show arounds for prospective bookers.
- Manage the operational and logistical planning of all events and large bookings from original enquiry through to following up for client feedback upon completion of their event.
- Carry out all communication with clients and venues via telephone, email and face to face in a way that upholds Cubitt House service standards.
- Co-host client parties and entertain alongside management team when required for high profile events that fall outside of regular working hours
- Attend client meeting where required to discuss event details
- Actively build long term relationships with clients to secure repeat business
- Display creativity and innovation when handling all bookings whilst following standard procedures.
- Maintain a CRM database to develop customer profiles and drive post visit actions.
- Regular communication with kitchen and front of house teams to keep them updated regarding pre-orders and operational requirements/expectations for each event
- Meet weekly with venue management to brief them on upcoming events and review previous week’s bookings
- Attend any new menu tastings and training activities recommended to enhance your performance
- Update regular KPI reports to track performance
- To carry out any other reasonable task requested by a member of the management team, to enable the business to run efficiently and smoothly
- Promote and convey the Cubitt House family ethos and values

Key Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working within hospitality events in a client facing role
- Experience of carrying out a sales strategy and meeting sales targets
- A strong proactive sales person
- Strong influencings skills
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to analyse data, spot trends and opportunities
- Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Great organization skills, detail oriented and self-starter
- Experience in managing events operations
