Who We Are

Cubitt House is a collection of eight distinctive London pubs celebrated for their seasonal British menus, impeccable hospitality, and timeless interiors. Inspired by master architect Thomas Cubitt, we honour London’s heritage by creating vibrant spaces that feel both elegant and welcoming. Our pubs—including The Thomas Cubitt, The Alfred Tennyson, The Orange, The Princess Royal, and The Grazing Goat—blend British craftsmanship with a sense of community, partnering with the finest artisans and producers to deliver exceptional experiences.

We are more than a pub group—we are a collection of passionate individuals dedicated to craft, creativity, and genuine service. At Cubitt House, we believe in celebrating people and places through thoughtful design, locally sourced food, and warm, memorable moments.

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join one of our Cubitt House sites in London. This is a key leadership role within a food-driven pub, where destination dining, exceptional service, and high-quality seasonal ingredients are at the heart of everything we do.

As Restaurant Manager, you will lead the restaurant operation day to day, working closely with the General Manager and kitchen team to deliver outstanding guest experiences. You will be passionate about food and hospitality, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy building, developing, and motivating a strong team. Above all, you will share our commitment to warm, genuine service and having fun while doing it.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily running of the restaurant, ensuring service standards are consistently met and exceeded.
• Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house team to deliver warm, confident, and professional service.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen to ensure seamless service and excellent communication.
• Manage rotas, staffing levels, and floor plans to optimise both guest experience and commercial performance.
• Maintain high standards of compliance, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
• Actively engage with guests to ensure memorable visits and encourage repeat business.

Skills & Experience

• Experience in a similar Restaurant Manager role, ideally within a luxury high volume business.
• A genuine passion for food, drink, and hospitality.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and adaptable with a hands-on leadership style.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, solution-focused attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider management team.
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment.
• Curious, motivated, and keen to learn and grow within the role.
• Eligible to work in the UK with a National Insurance number (or in the process of obtaining one).

On The House

At Cubitt House, our people are at the heart of everything we do. They bring our pubs to life, and we believe exceptional work deserves exceptional rewards. When you join our team, here’s what you can look forward to:
• Competitive pay plus service charge.
• Perkbox – 30 points every month to spend however you like.
• Enhanced maternity and paternity leave.
• Wagestream, pension & cycle-to-work scheme.
• Employee of the Month recognition & reward programmes.
• Supplier trips, tastings, and external learning opportunities.
• Delicious staff meals while on shift.
• Monthly Bar Academy for cocktail mastery and premium drinks training.
• Quarterly staff socials, competitions, and a legendary Christmas party.
• Language development school to help you grow.
• Work anniversary reward – £100 per year up to 5 years, then £150 per year thereafter.
• A bottle of champagne on your birthday.
• 50% off food & drink across all Cubitt House pubs.
• Clear career progression within a respected, growing hospitality group.
• A supportive, passionate culture that values both skill and character.
