We are seeking a driven and experienced Executive Sous Chef to help lead our high-performing culinary team in this dynamic, high-volume environment.
Po15000sition Summary:
The Executive Sous Chef is a key member of the leadership team and plays an essential role in daily kitchen operations. This individual will work closely with the Executive Chef to manage high-volume service, uphold culinary excellence, and lead a passionate and focused team. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with deep culinary knowledge, a commitment to hospitality, and proven success in managing food and labor costs in a fast-paced, upscale environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations and ensure smooth execution of all services
Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
Train, develop, and mentor culinary team members
Manage ordering, inventory, and vendor relationships
Monitor labor schedules, control food and labor costs, and support financial goals
Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are met
Collaborate on menu development and seasonal updates
Lead by example in professionalism, work ethic, and teamwork
Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or similar leadership role
High-volume kitchen experience is required
Upscale or fine dining experience strongly preferred
Strong culinary foundation and genuine passion for food and hospitality
Proven experience managing labor, purchasing, and food costs
Ability to lead, coach, and inspire a diverse culinary team
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
