The Dog & Fox is an iconic pub and hotel in the heart of Wimbledon Village. We are an established events venue, pub, dining serving a premium collection of draught & craft beers, local London spirits and fine wines. We offer the best in seasonal, fresh, British produce for our menu and have 25 exquisite bedrooms above in our boutique hotel. Just a 10-minute walk from Wimbledon train station and on several bus routes we are easy to reach and busy all year long. With Wimbledon Tennis Championships in the summer and Christmas functions throughout the winter there is never a boring moment at the Dog & Fox Hotel! Nearest public transport – Wimbledon Train Station or 93 Bus.

Being a Head Chef at Young's:

We’re looking for a talented and driven Head Chef to join the team at the Dog & Fox in Wimbledon, working closely under an experienced Executive Chef to deliver a standout food offering.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a strong Senior Sous or existing Head Chef who thrives in a busy, premium pub environment and is ready to lead from the front while continuing to develop under senior guidance.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading the kitchen team day-to-day, ensuring consistently high standards
  • Working alongside the Executive Chef to deliver seasonal, fresh, and commercially successful menus
  • Managing GP, stock control, and kitchen budgets effectively
  • Training, developing, and motivating your team
  • Maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards
  • Driving service quality during high-volume periods

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous ready to step up
  • A passion for fresh, seasonal food and modern British pub dining
  • Solid understanding of kitchen financials (GP, labour, stock)
  • A natural leader who can inspire and develop a team
  • Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn from an Executive Chef
