As our Senior Deputy Manager, you’ll play a key role in running the pub, leading the team and helping drive the business forward. But we don’t just want you to keep things ticking over — we want to help you grow.

Within your first 6 months, you’ll be expected to start your GMD (General Manager Development) course, setting you on the path towards running your own business in the future.

? What you’ll be getting stuck into

• Supporting the General Manager with the day-to-day running of this busy pub and hotel.

• Leading, motivating and developing the team — bringing out the best in everyone, even on the busiest shifts.

• Delivering brilliant guest experiences, making sure everyone leaves happy and wants to come back.

• Helping drive sales, manage costs and understand the numbers behind a successful business.

• Getting involved in recruitment, training, rotas and all the other fun bits of running a great team.

• Taking ownership of shifts, making confident decisions and keeping everything running smoothly when things get hectic.

• Helping deliver our events, private parties and seasonal celebrations.

• Working towards your GMD course and building the skills and confidence to become a General Manager.

        Who are we looking for?

• Someone with solid hospitality management experience who’s ready to take the next step.

• A natural leader who knows how to motivate a team, set standards and lead from the front.

• Commercially minded, with an interest in sales, profit, costs and growing a business.

• Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can keep a cool head when the pressure is on.

• A people person who genuinely cares about guests, their team and doing things properly.

• Ambitious, organised and keen to learn — you don’t need to know everything, but you do need to want to.

• Someone who is serious about progressing into a General Manager role and committed to starting their GMD course within their first three months.
