About Dos Toros Taqueria

At Dos Toros Taqueria, we bring the Mission-style taqueria experience to life—fresh, flavorful ingredients, responsibly sourced, wrapped in a steamed tortilla with perfectly melty cheese. Since day one, we’ve been committed to great food, genuine hospitality, and building restaurants where people love to work and eat.

We’re currently seeking experienced Senior Assistant Managers to join our growing fast-casual restaurant team. This is an exciting opportunity for hands-on leaders who thrive in high-energy environments and lead with warmth, integrity, and excellence.

What You’ll Do

As a Senior Assistant Manager, you support the restaurant and the General Manager by leading with purpose:

  • Foster a Positive Culture: Create an inclusive work environment where all employees are treated with dignity and respect, embodying our value of Total Respect.

  • Drive Service Excellence: Prioritize exceptional customer service and genuine hospitality while maintaining Dos Toros' high standards for food quality and cleanliness.

  • Develop the Team: Train and coach hourly staff to support our talent pipeline and assist growth by identifying and developing future trainers.

  • Ensure Safety & Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and operational procedures to ensure safe working conditions.

  • Protect the Brand: Represent the Dos Toros brand and establish staff compliance with all company policies and procedures.

  • Manage Operations: Lead shifts with urgency and assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, payroll, inventory, and ordering.

  • Lead by Example: Stay organized, calm, and solutions-focused during peak service, jumping in wherever needed to support the team.

What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: Prior restaurant management or supervisory experience, preferably 2+ years in fast casual or quick service.

  • Certification: ServSafe certification and any required city/state food safety certifications.

  • Leadership Style: A warm, positive, and enthusiastic leadership style with the ability to communicate clearly and accurately exchange information.

  • Technical Skills: Skill in using a computer and/or tablet for administrative duties.

  • Commitment: Detail-oriented with a deep commitment to food safety and a genuine passion for our guests and food.

  • Availability: Open availability, including nights and weekends.

Benefits & Perks
  • Paid Time Off: Comprehensive program including generous PTO and paid sick time.

  • Family Support: Fully paid Maternity Leave and 3 weeks of Paid Bonding Time for fathers and adoptive parents.

  • Health & Wellness: High-quality Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, plus 100% company-paid Short Term Disability.

  • Fitness: ClassPass Fitness & Wellness Membership.

  • Food: Free salads and shift meals.

  • Support Services: Unlimited therapy and mental health support with HealthJoy, plus Omada wellness tools.

  • Financial Benefits: Retirement plan with company match, Commuter benefits, and FSA for healthcare and dependent care.

Physical Requirements
  • Dexterity: Manual dexterity able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils.

  • Strength: Ability to occasionally move or transport items up to 30 lbs.

  • Endurance: Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

Our Core Values
