The Role: General Manager In Training (Fast Casual)
A hands-on-deck leader who leads by example and is able to problem solve in complex situations. You must have an ownership mindset and be willing to roll up their sleeves and pitch in whenever necessary like everyone else on the team. You must be able to consistently Put Customers First, Adapt to Change, Foster Collaboration, Develop Yourself & Others. This role will require you to work closely with our entire team including our founder, Foluso Salami. Throughout your time as a GMIT, you are expected to learn and master competency-based leadership and operational skill. What You’ll Do Includes:
Work closely with our founder to uphold systems that drive consistency and operational excellence.
Ensure proper orientation and training of all DÙNDÚ team members using approved tools and standards.
Maintain established DÙNDÚ food cost standards.
Manage team scheduling and uphold labor cost targets.
Collaborate with key teammates to grow market share from launch and adapt customer acquisition strategies as needed.
Exceed industry standards for food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation; consistently maintain a DOH “A” rating.
Foster a culture of exceptional service for both teammates and guests, demonstrated by rising repeat business, guest referrals, and glowing online reviews..
Lead the team by example in both action and attitude.
Deliver regular performance feedback and recognition to team members.
Oversee daily restaurant operations and overall team performance.
Physical Requirements:
· Able to stand and/or walk for an entire shift
· Ability to lift up to 40Lbs
· Must be able to maintain close to constant communication with multiple individuals.
· Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
· Must be able to bend and reach overhead often.
· Must possess dexterity to handle tools and equipment ranging from small to large.
· Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
