RESTAURANT MANAGER
Restaurant Managers are responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations. They lead by example, developing a strong, motivated team that delivers excellent customer service and consistently achieves sales and profit goals.
Managers ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed while maintaining a positive, respectful work environment. They treat all employees with dignity, recognizing and rewarding great performance.
We’re looking for Managers who bring passion, pride, and professionalism to their work. Successful candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to multiple demands, and effectively implement and support organizational changes.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees.
Monitors staffing levels to ensure proper coverage, team development, and bench strength. Ensures training systems for all workstations are fully implemented and followed by management and crew. Identifies and develops internal candidates for Team Leader and Management positions.
Effectively utilizes Jack in the Box systems, processes, and tools while maintaining compliance with all state and federal labor laws and regulations.
Maintains brand standards for restaurant cleanliness, facility maintenance, and exceptional guest service. Serves as a role model by consistently delivering outstanding service and demonstrating leadership excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Demonstrates high ethical standards; treats employees and guests with respect; actively listens and communicates clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner with the management team and crew.
Remains calm under pressure, helps de-escalate difficult situations, and effectively manages conflict.
Strong awareness and concern for food quality, safety, and overall restaurant cleanliness.
Physical requirements: ability to lift and carry 10–50 lbs.; ability to stand and walk 85–95% of the shift; ability to move freely throughout the restaurant.
Ability to safely operate restaurant equipment.
Ability to drive a motor vehicle and provide a valid driver’s license and insurance.
Willingness and ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
