Financial Analyst I

Freebirds World Burrito is hiring an Operations Analyst to join our finance team in the Austin, Texas office.  This position will be accountable for analyzing prime cost data and providing support to the organization to drive improvement in efficiencies and profitability.  The ideal candidate has experience in the restaurant industry as well as a background in analytics.

Responsibilities:

• Provide actionable reporting for cost of goods sold and productive labor
• Responsible for providing explanation for the change in food cost vs prior periods and vs prior year
• Maintain ideal food costing. Work with Culinary and Purchasing to update recipes, yields and portioning
• Maintain ideal labor matrix. Work with the VP of Operations to update/improve the ideal labor formula
• Maintain/Administer and calculate the Restaurant bonus plan
• Support the monthly forecasting process
• Support the annual budgeting process
• Responsible for maintaining and calculating vendor rebates
• Take initiative to find and develop efficiencies in systems and processes
• Other tasks as assigned by manager

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related or field (Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Business, Mathematics, etc.)
• 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Restaurant Industry experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
• Organized, great communication, and forward thinking   
• Must be detail oriented, analytical and results focused
