Vice President Marketing - Food Hall Co.

Job Description

Our company manages two food halls and a real estate consulting company specializing in developing entertainment districts and Food Halls. We are looking for a Vice President of Marketing to join the team.

This position requires significant experience in the Food & Beverage, Retail, Entertainment and Hospitality fields. Qualified candidates will demonstrate experience successfully overseeing and directing a Marketing Department. A successful candidate is highly driven and will play a significant role in the strategic planning and growth of the company.  The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with excellent verbal and written communication skills, project planning abilities, a servant leader, and the ability to adapt and respond well to change.

Responsibilities

·         We are looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing to drive the business’s key initiatives, leading to traffic, revenue and engagement for our properties

·         You will oversee the development of a progressive brand identity for our company and our properties

·         Develop 360-degree customer engagement plans that leverage disruptive (digital, mobile and social) and traditional channels (email, direct mail, outdoor, media, print)

·         Savvy in experiential and digital/social engagement vehicles

·         Prior P&L responsibility - Results oriented with proven capability to marry quantitative analysis with qualitative assessment/measurement in program development, evaluation, and refinement

·         Proven ability to build talent and supporting capabilities to support business objectives and growth and coach/mentor and motivate/inspire a high-performing team

Essential functions

·         Marketing Strategist and Brand Builder:  Intuitively “gets” the brand and can creatively define a set of experiences across channels that add up to an exceptional brand expression. 

·         He/she exhibits limitless creativity and has demonstrated an ability to deliver “out-of-the-box” solutions that change consumer behavior and shift mindsets.

·         Digital-First Leader and Engagement Expert:  Proven track record of creating and/or evolving a best-in-class, digitally led, integrated, brand experience capability within a company landscape that is consumer-facing and customer centric.

·         Passion for customers and will be current in “all things digital” (internet, social, mobile) and will understand the nuances and expectations of a regional, founder led, hospitality brand.

·         Maintains weekly calls and communication with all third-party vendors

·         Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements

·         Determine needed resources (agency support, marketing tools, etc.) with attention to budgetary limitations

·         Initiate all trademark and brand certificate needs

·         Drive communication with investors, real estate developments, and board members

·         Sponsorships and Partnerships – Focus on obtaining beneficial sponsorships with third parties, negotiate financially beneficial deals, while protecting the integrity of the brand

·         Consult on stall branding and design, including signage and menus

·         Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports of Marketing campaigns

·         Knowledge and proficiency in Google AdWords٫ SEO٫ and web analytics

·         Excellent leadership٫ communication٫ analytical٫ and project management skills

·         Great decision-making skills and the ability to make difficult decisions

·         Prepare and manage budgets for the Marketing Department and campaigns

 Physical demands

·          Full time availability

Travel required

·         The travel required for this position is approximately 50% and you must be able to travel for up to 5 days at one time

Required education and experience

·         15+ years experience in restaurant and bar, hospitality, entertainment, or relevant industry

·         Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations or equivalent experience or certifications

Optional education and experience

  • Google Ads Certification, Facebook Blueprint Certification, etc.
