Description

Be a Duty Manager but most importantly be you!

Love variety and making people smile? At Homewood, we do things differently — playful touches, heartfelt hospitality, and moments that make our guests’ stays feel like stories worth retelling. As our Duty Manager, you’ll be the go-to hero who keeps everything running beautifully behind the scenes while ensuring every guest leaves feeling genuinely cared for.

What you’ll get for being yourself

  • Eligible for Management Bonus Scheme as well as monthly pay

  • Free parking for team members

  • Progression and training across the Kaleidoscope Collection

  • Cash-saving benefits to make your pay go further, plus wellbeing support for you and your family

  • Discounts on eating, drinking and sleeping at all our properties

  • Discounts with local gyms and hospitality partners

  • £500 refer-a-friend scheme

  • A stimulating workplace in a diverse, welcoming community

  • Be part of a team who live and breathe our purpose

…and there’s more where these came from.

Set in the beautiful city centre of Bath, Dukes, with its traditional vibe offers our guests the chance to stay at one of the city’s most prestigious street addresses. This beautiful boutique seventeen-bedroom Bath Guest House occupies two magnificent Georgian Townhouses on Great Pulteney Street, one of the finest boulevards in England.

What’s it like to work with us? Well, we are an imaginative, playful team who encourage each other to remain unconventional, no matter if you’re new to hospitality or if this is a lifelong career. Our diverse, inclusive community encourages a culture where you can be the you’est you, you can be; it makes working in this hotel that little bit more exciting.

We stand behind being big hearted, respecting each other, our guests and the wider community. On top of that, we are ALWAYS serious about giving our guests a bloody good time!

As Duty Manager what you’ll be doing

  • Be the friendly, ever-present face of the hotel — checking in with guests, sparking conversations, and spotting ways to make their stay extra special.

  • Turn the everyday into the memorable — whether it’s remembering a favourite G&T, arranging a last-minute spa slot, or simply sharing a local tip for the perfect Bath stroll.

  • Keep an eye on the bigger picture — coordinating across departments to make sure every guest touchpoint flows seamlessly.

  • Stay one step ahead by knowing the day’s arrivals, events, and happenings inside out.

  • Keep tabs on guest reviews and responses across all platforms  — your words shape our reputation.

  • Turn feedback into action: share insights with the team and celebrate the wins.

  • Handle hiccups with confidence and kindness — turning challenges into “wow” moments.

  • Keep guest profiles sharp and updated, ensuring returning guests feel remembered and valued.

  • Build a culture where personal touches come naturally and no guest ever feels like “just another booking.”

  • Jump in wherever you’re needed — from Front of House to Housekeeping, F&B to Spa.

  • Lead by example, motivating the team with positivity and purpose.

  • Step up in the absence of the Operations Manager — running day to day keeping everything humming along.

What happens next with your Duty Manager application?

Attract our attention with your application and we’ll call you. After we speak on the phone you can expect a friendly invite to spend an hour or two on a Team Insight with your chosen department – Ask all your questions and we will ask you a few too. If all goes well, you may just become part of the team!
