A Server Assistant, also known as a Busser, supports the waitstaff in providing a positive dining experience for guests by assisting with various tasks like setting tables, refilling drinks, clearing plates, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. They play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and efficient service. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting Tables: Preparing tables with linens, silverware, glassware, and other necessary items. 
  • Food Running: Running food to correct tables. 
  • Refilling Drinks: Replenishing water, beverages, and other drinks for customers. 
  • Clearing Plates: Removing used plates and dishes from tables. 
  • Table Maintenance: Keeping tables clean and presentable throughout service, including wiping down surfaces and removing crumbs. 
  • Assisting Servers: Helping with food delivery, carrying out food trays, and responding to customer requests. 
  • Stocking and Cleaning: Restocking condiment stations, napkins, and other supplies, as well as cleaning work areas and service stations. 
  • Greeting Guests: Helping with the seating and greeting of customers. 
  • Side Work: Completing tasks like cleaning, stocking, and other duties to ensure the restaurant's operational efficiency.
