SALARY AVAILABLE IF PREFERRED AT £28.7K - £31K per annum plus tips
The George is the Heart of the High Road here in Chiswick. We like to have fun, work hard, give great service and work together as a team- and we are looking for like-minded people to join us!
Work/Life balance is at the core of our team and while others preach this is something we deliver. 40 - 45 hours is a regular week for us with no split shifts and time allocated within that for your training and development along with a fair balance of weekend and weekday shifts…we all need a social life!
We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join the team here with the aim to help you grow and develop through to more senior positions as you are ready. As the deputy you will set the bar for what service and standards are within the business while helping develop our management team in house. Prior experience in a similar role would be a help but not critical but you will need to be able to hit the ground running! We are a busy pub with lots of events going on so it is important that you can work well under pressure and have a keen eye for service. Located at the heart of the High Road in Chiswick we have a busy afterwork crowd along with our beautiful events space, The Boston Room, & dining room.
Hourly rate listed but salaried option available if preferred.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager who is a confident, capable leader and will relish the responsibility of running the pub. As you will be in the heart of the action in both motivating and supporting the team as well as creating a special atmosphere for customers, you will be a great communicator and have strong decision-making and organisation skills.

You’ll need to take ownership of problems, and you’ll live by a mantra of ‘always doing the right thing’ – even if it occasionally means bending the rules.
You will be working alongside the General Manager to ensure the success of the pub and simultaneously learn the skills behind running a business. With Fuller’s support, this puts you on the road to progressing your career further into a General Manager role.
