Description

Grind is a hospitality company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants and café-bars, burning the candle at both ends to serve coffee, food, and cocktails to a killer soundtrack.

Assistant Manager – Grab and Go Greenwich

As Assistant Manager, you will lead our busy takeaway outlet in Greenwich, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional coffee, and a great customer experience every day. You’ll be hands-on behind the bar, leading by example, and developing the skills of your team. The atmosphere at Grab and Go is fast-paced and energetic, and you will be the on-site leader for your shifts this role requires early starts and weekend availability.

We are looking for someone with at least 1–2 years of supervisory or management experience in a high-volume café, coffee shop, or takeaway environment — with proven expertise in speciality coffee, latte art, and the ability to train complete beginners into confident baristas.

A bit about us.

Grind is a coffee company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, we've expanded across London with cafés, coffee trucks and a state-of-the-art coffee roastery. Today, we serve millions of cups of coffee across London and the UK each year, and we’ve helped hundreds of thousands of people make better, more sustainable coffee at home.

You’ll find our coffee beans, compostable coffee pods and ready-to-drink coffee cans - in supermarkets across the UK and in hotels around the world.

Our cafés and coffee trucks were where Grind all began, and they're still the beating heart of Grind. They're vibrant, exciting and sometimes high-pressure places to work.

We think coffee can be a force for good. Whether it's through creating the UK's first compostable coffee pods, our plastic-free packaging or carbon-free shipping - we're on a mission to be the world's most sustainable coffee company.

In 2023, we created our charity, the Better Coffee Foundation, to undo the damage done by the global coffee industry - in our first year, we recovered 43 million pods' worth of ocean-bound plastic.
