Grind is a hospitality company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants and café-bars, burning the candle at both ends to serve coffee, food, and cocktails to a killer soundtrack.
To be eligible for this role, you will need to demonstrate confidence in leading the Front of House floor team. You must drive service and sales, and be the constant face of energy and passion on the floor!
We expect previous experience in restaurant management, strong experience in supporting a busy team, and a 'work with the team' approach/attitude at all times. The role is 35+ Hours and Weekend availability is essential.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead FOH shifts, setting the pace and standards for service
Support managers to achieve sales, labour and COGS targets
Oversee opening and closing procedures, including cashing-up and EOD reporting
Train, coach, and onboard new team members
Manage sections, seating and waitlists to maximise covers and guest flow
Uphold brand standards: product quality, cleanliness, H&S and allergen compliance
Resolve guest issues confidently and escalate when appropriate
Coordinate smoothly with bar and kitchen to maintain ticket times.
Ensure compliance with company policies and licensing requirements
