Grind is a hospitality company that lives in London. Since opening Shoreditch Grind in 2011, the brand has expanded across London with restaurants and café-bars, burning the candle at both ends to serve coffee, food, and cocktails to a killer soundtrack.
Assistant Manager – Greenwich Grind
We’re looking for the next wave of leaders – people who genuinely love hospitality, live for a busy floor, and want to grow their career with us.
As an Assistant Manager at Greenwich Grind, you’ll be in the thick of service: running the floor, looking after the team, and making sure every guest has a great experience. In return, your General Manager will invest in you – giving you the support, coaching, and responsibility you need to take that next step in your career.
Greenwich Grind is weekend-led, so Saturday and Sunday availability is essential.
About YouYou’re a strong floor leader who:
Is confident running a busy restaurant floor from greeting to goodbye
Knows what great service looks like and insists on it every shift
Drives service and sales – you care about the numbers as much as the guest experience
Brings energy, calm control, and good vibes to the team
Has around 1–2 years’ experience in floor-led restaurant management
Is used to working in a fast-paced environment and keeping cool under pressure
Has a genuine “muck in with the team” attitude
Host experience is a big plus
Helping run a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, especially during peak times
Opening and closing the site when the senior management team aren’t around
Delivering consistent, brilliant service in line with our standards
Leading and supporting the Front of House team on shift – sections, pacing, and flow
Getting involved in training and developing new and existing team members
Supporting with recruitment and onboarding
Taking part in team and management meetings and bringing ideas to improve service and sales
Representing Greenwich Grind with a smart, professional appearance and positive attitude
Only those eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit/visa will be considered for the above position.
Grind is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all candidates and employees.
We'll see you at the Grind.
