Located in the heart of Hollywood on the old famed CBS Radio lot, Gunsmoke is a new travel inspired dining concept led by Executive Chef Brandon Kida of acclaimed restaurant, Hinoki & the Bird.
The restaurant will feature the eclectic and soulful flavors of Los Angeles, all with a healthful California sensibility. The Kelly Wearstler designed indoor/outdoor space is housed on the ground floor of luxury residential tower, Columbia Square Living. is looking for bartenders with a passion for hospitality. Successful applicants should have the energy and desire to work in our culinary driven restaurant. Flexible shifts are available with opportunities to grow within the restaurant group.
Requirements:
- 2 years of bar experience in the hospitality industry
- Must possess a genuine passion for hospitality with solid food and beverage knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Relevant training certificate
- Must be calm and able to maintain order under pressure
- Must be a leader
- Must be available to work typical hospitality industry hours (holidays, weekends)
- Must have the ability to multitask with a calm demeanor
- Must be hospitable and able to maintain high levels of service
- Must be conscious of physical presentation and have clean work habits
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be adaptable
- Computer literacy
Responsibilities:
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations requirements
Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps
