Deputy Manager/Strong Assistant Manager

The pub combines classic features, wooden interiors, cosy corners, and a traditional bar, with a bright, contemporary dining area that attracts a mix of local families, professionals, and regulars who treat the pub like their second home.

One of the standout features of the venue is its spacious garden, which plays a central role in the pub’s social life throughout the year. During the warmer months, the garden transforms into a lively hub hosting regular events such as live music, seasonal celebrations (including our famous Halloween & Easter hunts), themed parties, and community gatherings. From relaxed afternoon drinks to busy summer evenings filled with entertainment, the garden creates an energetic atmosphere that brings people together and keeps the pub buzzing.

The Hare & Hounds prides itself on serving high-quality seasonal food, well-kept ales, and a carefully curated drinks list, all delivered with friendly, attentive service. What we look for in a Deputy/Assistant Manager:

We are looking for a motivated Deputy Manager or strong Assistant Manager with a proven background to join and lead our team in our community, event-led pub. We are looking for a Manager that is willing to take on the responsibility of planning, executing & marketing our events throughout the year as well as some of your own. After winning the Community Pub of the year 2025 and being aptly located in a suburban family area within walking distance of Richmond Park, these events must hit the mark & our target clientele. As the successful Manager you will have a genuine passion for exceptional customer service and a pro-active approach to team management & leadership. You will be enthusiastic & driven to continue the success of our pub and play a pivotal part in training our team to ensure they have the knowledge needed to delight our customers.  You will also be someone who is committed to their career in hospitality and we can offer ongoing development to support you as you grow and succeed with us.
