You'll lead strong teams, fine-tune performance, and bring fresh thinking to every shift, system, and strategy. Education and experience:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have 2-3 years of Multi-Unit Experience 
  • A Bachelor's degree or the equivalent of 4 to 7 years of management experience in business, management, or a related field. 
  • Food Managers Permit
  • ServSafe Certificate
  • Valid Drivers Licence
  • Basic experience with Microsoft suite, and restaurant software

A Day In The Life

As an Area Manager for Hash Kitchen, you will oversee day to day operations of all assigned restaurant locations in your area. You will build and execute a strategic plan to improve guest experience and instill a culture of positivity and growth. You are the mentor that provides vision and guidance to the restaurant leadership team to achieve short and long-term company objectives. The Area manager will be expected to develop and mentor a bench of future leaders and support the growth initiatives within the brand. You will lead your restaurants in strong financial performance, in revenue growth and cost control.

  • Manage weekly schedule approval.
  • Work side by side with your restaurant leaders in your assigned area
  • Approve all manager time off requests and always ensure store coverage
  • Maintain proper store inventory levels based on assigned pars
  • Cultivate a culture of positivity and gratitude within the team
  • Manage bi-weekly manager group meetings
  • Manage bi-monthly shift lead review
  • Facilitate manager one on one's within the typical Area Manager routine
  • Ensure all stores are visited weekly at a minimum
  • Spend 2-3 days at a time in a restaurant, providing direction and feedback to the leadership team.
  • Facilitate store operation evaluation monthly.
  • Supervise all store financials and develop strategies to improve labor and COGS.
  • Develop a pipeline of high-potential individuals within all locations
  • Assist management teams in ensuring staff levels are adequate across all locations
  • Work with People Operations to ensure proper staffing levels for all assigned restaurants.
  • Provide weekly market updates to the VP of Operations
  • Facilitate new store setup with the brand leadership and training for the first two months of operation
  • Assist with any other need involved with day-to-day operations as required by upper management

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Position requires qualified individuals to see, hear and speak (verbally and audibly). Required to ascend and descend stairs; sit and stand for extended periods of time; lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop and kneel. May be required to work outside in various weather conditions. May be required to work on a computer for extended periods of time, including viewing the screen, using a mouse, manipulating a keyboard with hands, and reaching with arms. May be asked to drive or travel by car, air, or other transportation for business purposes. Must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced working environment. Must be able to report to work responsive, free from sedatives, and in a non-sedative state. Must disclose prescribed and/or over-the-counter pharmaceuticals that may impair or affect the ability to perform the job's essential functions. Natural and regular stressors occur on the job.
