Description
Reservations Manager

Since 2006 we have been the UK's home of ethically sourced, grass-fed beef, cooked over charcoal and paired with our award-winning wines and cocktails. We became B Corp certified in 2022 and are the only restaurant group in the UK to place in the Best Companies for 13 consecutive years, meaning we have some of the happiest people in the industry working here! This is alongside raising over £1 million for Action Against Hunger and being rated as one of the most sustainable groups in the country.

As Reservations Manager, you’ll lead the reservations and host team, making sure every guest has a seamless, personal and welcoming experience  from the moment they book to the moment they sit down. You’ll manage reservations across phone, email and in person, oversee guest communications, and work closely with the management team to maximise bookings and guest satisfaction. This is a hands-on role that goes far beyond the desk you’ll also be front-facing, greeting guests, managing the flow of the restaurant, and setting the tone for hospitality every day.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage bookings across all platforms — balancing covers, service flow and guest needs
  • Welcome guests and oversee the front desk, cloakroom and seating plan during service
  • Handle guest enquiries, special requests and VIP experiences with warmth and professionalism
  • Analyse and report on booking trends and guest data to support business performance
  • Work with senior management to drive reservations strategy and team development
  • Maintain Hawksmoor standards of hospitality, efficiency and attention to detail in every interaction

Who You Are
  • Experienced as a Reservations Manager or Supervisor in a quality, high-volume hospitality venue
  • Confident leading a team and creating a positive, professional atmosphere
  • A brilliant communicator who loves interacting with guests and colleagues alike
  • Organised and data-minded, with an eye for detail and a calm approach under pressure
  • Passionate about hospitality, people and creating world-class guest experiences

Our Values

  • Welcome Everyone – we are warm, welcoming and help everyone feel comfortable being themselves
  • Work Hard and Be Nice to People – we balance hard work and ambition with integrity, kindness and fun
  • Hit Hawksmoor Standards – we all take accountability for the part we play
  • Keep Evolving – we continue to develop through listening, learning, feedback and new ideas
Benefits

  • 28 days’ holiday (including service charge)
  • Free staff meals on shift + 50% off for visits with loved ones
  • Paid overtime on salaries
  • Income protection & death-in-service cover
  • Paid annual volunteer days
  • Wagestream early wage access and financial wellbeing tools
  • Referral bonuses from day one
  • Exclusive savings on travel, shopping & experiences
  • Restaurant welfare budget for snacks, drinks & support
  • Full training package: Food Safety, H&S, HR quals + management programme
  • Enhanced maternity & paternity leave

We’re building a team that reflects the richness and diversity of the communities we serve. At Hawksmoor, we welcome everyone and believe in creating a workplace where individuality is celebrated, kindness is key, and high standards are met together. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to grow your career, we’re committed to supporting you every step of the way so you can thrive and be happy at work. If you're excited about this role but aren't sure if you meet every single requirement – please apply anyway. You might be just who we’re looking for.
