Position Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM)

Position Summary


The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the restaurant, working closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, and a positive, high-performing team culture. This position supports all aspects of restaurant management, including staff leadership, scheduling, hiring, training, inventory control, and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities


  • Partner with the General Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day restaurant operations

  • Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules that align with business needs and labor goals

  • Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members to ensure service excellence

  • Coach, supervise, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of hospitality, teamwork, and performance

  • Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control to minimize waste and maximize profitability

  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations

  • Monitor food quality, service standards, and overall guest satisfaction

  • Address guest concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring positive resolutions

  • Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational systems

  • Step into a leadership role during the General Manager’s absence to ensure seamless operations

  • Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic

  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment

  • Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and management

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency

  • Assist with performance evaluations, coaching, and corrective action when necessary

  • Maintain a calm, solution-focused approach in a fast-paced environment


Qualifications & Skills


  • Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment

  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and labor management

  • Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills

  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
