Position Title: Assistant General Manager (AGM)
Position Summary
The Assistant General Manager (AGM) plays a key leadership role in the daily operations of the restaurant, working closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient operations, and a positive, high-performing team culture. This position supports all aspects of restaurant management, including staff leadership, scheduling, hiring, training, inventory control, and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with the General Manager to oversee and manage day-to-day restaurant operations
Assist in creating and maintaining staff schedules that align with business needs and labor goals
Support the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and training of team members to ensure service excellence
Coach, supervise, and motivate staff to maintain high standards of hospitality, teamwork, and performance
Assist in inventory management, ordering, and cost control to minimize waste and maximize profitability
Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations
Monitor food quality, service standards, and overall guest satisfaction
Address guest concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring positive resolutions
Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational systems
Step into a leadership role during the General Manager’s absence to ensure seamless operations

Lead by example with professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment
Communicate clearly and effectively with staff and management
Identify opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency

Qualifications & Skills
Previous restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred
Strong leadership, organizational, and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment
Knowledge of restaurant operations, food safety, and labor management
Excellent guest service and interpersonal communication skills
Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
