IT Technician - 1st Line Support:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented 1st Line Support Technician to join our IT team. As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. If you have a passion for technology and enjoy helping others, this could be the job for you.

This is a part-time position, on three days per week , to suit both parties, which can be discussed in the interview. The role could suit someone based either near our Head office in Teddington .

IT Technician: The Role 

  • Part Time position ( 3 days per week) 
  • Head office-based role 
  • Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to the sites 
  • Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applications
  • Assist with user account management
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex problems
  • Provide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical users
  • Document all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing system
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backups
  • Assist with computer networking tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issues
  • Analyze computer hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Assist in EPOS (and related) system(s) configuration and maintenance

IT Technician: The Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS etc)
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantage
  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse issues and provide effective solutions
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
