Hoar Cross Hall<br><br>Set in 50 acres of formal gardens and grounds, on the edge of the National Forest near Burton on Trent, Hoar Cross Hall is a Grade II listed property, built in the 1860’s by Sir Hugo Meynell Ingram as a home for his family.<br><br>The Hall that stands today was designed by Henry Clutton and boasts 48 chimneys and two turret water towers and has been described as an Elizabethan house with Jacobean overtones. A wealth of original features, ornamental ceilings and lavish oak panelled walls survive to this day.<br>A much-loved feature is the Long Gallery; 114 feet in length with an oak staircase leading to the old private apartments. <br><br>Over the years Hoar Cross has become a beloved destination, with repeat visitors coming year on year to enjoy the traditional comforts and tranquillity provided by the hotel. The extraordinary gardens are also a major draw, providing the first and last image of a visit to the property
