Annual salary: £43,560

A Day in Your Neighbourhood


  • Lead the welcome: You’ll oversee day-to-day front desk operations, from check-in and check-out to guest queries, payments, and everything in between.
  • Inspire the team: Motivate, coach, and support receptionists and front office team members to deliver attentive, upbeat, and personal service.
  • Connect with guests: Be visible and approachable in the lobby, ready to listen, assist, and elevate guest satisfaction through every interaction. Ensuring IHG One Rewards member requests and repeat guests receive personalised service at each turn.
  • Drive performance: Track guest feedback and front desk KPIs, ensuring we meet service standards and continuously improve experiences; monitoring the team’s enrolment of new members to the IHG One Rewards programme.
  • Smooth Operator: Assist with rota planning, shift supervision, and training new team members on systems, brand standards, and emergency procedures.
  • Be A Step Ahead: Liaise with housekeeping, maintenance, and reservations to keep communication flowing and surprises to a minimum.

You’re a people person with a calm head, great instincts, and a flair for hospitality. Here’s what helps you thrive in this role:

  • Experience in a hotel reception or front office team, ideally in a managerial role for 3+ years.
  • Knowledge of hotel systems (Opera PMS is a plus!)
  • A passion for people, service, and attention to detail
  • Clear communicator who stays calm under pressure
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a bonus)
  • A warm and professional presence that makes people feel at home
  • Experience with pre-openings is a bonus!
