Description

Hotel June is seeking an Outlets & Events Manager for our food & beverage operation. Inspired by the soul and spirit of California, Scenic Route and Caravan Swim Club offer vibrant food and drink for hotel guests and the local community. Hotel June has partnered with Hospitality guru, Steve Livigni of award-winning Scopa Italian Roots, Dama, Old Lightning and Black Market Liquor Bar to create new food and beverage concepts drawing inspiration along the coast from Baja, MX to Santa Barbara, CA. This ideally located 250-room re-imagined Hotel on the Westside with two restaurants, creative event venues, and a spectacular pool deck is the flagship of a new thoughtful, accessible, lifestyle brand from Proper Hotels.

The Outlets & Events Manager reports directly to the Director of Outlets and indirectly to the Director of Sales & Events.  This position is responsible for ensuring daily service runs smoothly, events are executed properly, and successfully managing their team. The role is a very hands-on, floor-based position, so a confident and outgoing personality is essential. Must possess a strong sense of leadership, genuine hospitality, and care for staff.

Responsibilities

· Coordinate daily pre-shift to communicate daily specials and offerings to the Outlets teams

· Actively manage the outlet operations, quality of service and interact with guests and staff during operations

· Participate in the creation of Event BEOs; manage coordination, staffing and operational execution of Events

· Follow-up with unsatisfied guests and handle guest recovery where needed

· Assist with creating and maintaining procedural protocol for Outlet Operations

· Maintain daily set-up and breakdown in line with defined aesthetic

· Maintain compliance with departmental policies, procedures and standards

· Assist with completing daily, weekly, and monthly management administrative duties including operations reports, financial documentation, guest correspondence, human resources / staff management paperwork, operations evaluations, standard operating procedures, safety and sanitations checklists, ordering and inventory documentation, and PR/marketing tasks.

Skills/Knowledge Required

· 2 year+ of hospitality/restaurant supervisory/management experience

· Wine and spirits knowledge preferred

· Strong knowledge of events/banquets operations required

· Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills

· Proactive attitude with strong organizational and time management skills

· The ability to motivate and inspire others to work cooperatively to achieve a designated goal

· Flexible schedule - Willing and able to work shift duties that may include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays

· Ability to stand throughout entire shift

· Strong problem-solving skills

· TIPS and Serv Safe Preferred

Education
Bachelor’s Degree Required.
