At House of Louie, we invite our guests to experience the finest in Japanese cuisine in our new contemporary ground-floor restaurant, and French cuisine in our chic first-floor dining room.

With our Japanese concept restaurant - Wani Tzuki, we’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Commis Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team, working with both the Japanese and the French cuisine teams.

About Us

House of Louie, part of a world-class hospitality collective including RIKASParis Society, and the Ennismore Group, is a four-storey townhouse in the heart of the West End, offering an elevated mix of dining and nightlife.

This September, we’re launching our contemporary Japanese restaurant, alongside our established French concept and the lively Alligator Bar, known for creative cocktails, fusion bites, and live music.

About the Role – You Will:

  • Assist in preparing a range of Japanese and French dishes under the guidance of senior chefs

  • Rotate through different sections of the kitchen to develop a broad skill set

  • Maintain a clean and organised workstation with excellent hygiene practices

  • Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods

  • Follow kitchen procedures and health & safety standards

  • Be proactive, reliable, and ready to take on new challenges

  • Learn and grow within a fast-paced, professional culinary environment

About You – You Will Have:

  • Some previous experience as a commis, with experience in Japanese cuisine

  • A strong interest in Japanese and French cooking techniques

  • A willingness to learn and improve every day

  • Good knife skills and attention to detail

  • A positive, can-do attitude and team spirit

  • The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure

  • A passion for food, flavour, and hospitality
