Restaurant General Manager – Il Bambini Club at The Hoxton, Shoreditch

We are looking for a Restaurant General Manager to lead our team at The Hoxton, Shoreditch in our Il Bambini Club.

Born in Paris and inspired by the sunny, generous soul of Italy, Bambini is a lively trattoria known for its colourful dishes, shared feasts and playful spirit.

We're looking for a passionate, commercially minded and people-focused Restaurant General Manager to lead the ongoing success of our London home. You'll be responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience, building and developing a high-performing team, and driving operational excellence in a festive, design-forward space where every guest leaves with a memorable experience.

What you'll do...

  • Lead the overall operation of Il Bambini Club, ensuring every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Inspire, coach and develop your management and restaurant teams, creating a culture where people thrive, grow and love coming to work.
  • Drive commercial performance through strong financial management, labour planning, cost control and delivering against revenue and profitability targets.
  • Lead from the floor, setting the pace and role-modelling warm, genuine hospitality while maintaining exceptional service standards.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and bar leadership team to ensure seamless collaboration and consistently outstanding food and beverage experiences.
  • Recruit, develop and retain a talented team, creating clear succession plans and opportunities for progression.
  • Use operational reporting and business insights to identify opportunities, improve performance and continuously raise standards.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and licensing requirements while maintaining an organised, welcoming environment.
  • Handle guest feedback confidently and professionally, turning challenges into opportunities to create loyal advocates.
  • Be a true ambassador for both The Hoxton and Il Bambini Club, bringing energy, personality and leadership to everything you do.

What we're looking for...

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant General Manager or General Manager within a high-volume, quality-led restaurant.
  • A proven leader with experience building, inspiring and developing high-performing management and restaurant teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, labour costs, KPIs and overall business performance.
