Description

Temple Bar Hotel Dublin is seeking a, Accommodation Manager to join the team in it's unique four star hotel. 

 You will report to the Senior Manager / General Manager, ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during your shift. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accommodation department. You will lead the housekeeping team to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation, and comfort across all guest rooms and public areas.

Your main focus will be maintaining exceptional hygiene standards, managing laundry services, overseeing stock and supplies, scheduling staff, and ensuring the team delivers consistent five-star service. You will also handle guest requests or concerns related to accommodation, ensuring a seamless and memorable stay for all our guests.

Your role is vital in upholding the quality, safety, and overall guest satisfaction within the hotel.

 An Accommodation Manager will be responsible for: 

  • Leading and managing the housekeeping and accommodation team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas

  • Coordinating daily room inspections and ensuring all rooms are prepared according to brand and guest expectations

  • Managing linen and laundry operations, including stock control and supplier relations

  • Creating staff schedules, managing rotas, and monitoring attendance to ensure smooth departmental coverage

  • Recruiting, training, and developing accommodation team members to maintain consistent service standards

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, hygiene standards, and fire safety procedures

  • Monitoring guest feedback related to room cleanliness and acting promptly to resolve any issues or complaints

  • Managing budgets for cleaning supplies, amenities, and linen while controlling departmental costs

  • Liaising with the front office and maintenance departments to ensure efficient communication and room readiness

  • Reporting regularly to the General Manager / Senior Manager on department performance and improvement areas

  •  
To be successful in the role of  Accommodation Manager we require:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment, ideally at a supervisory or managerial level

  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

  • Excellent attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation

  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

  • Good understanding of health & safety, hygiene regulations, and manual handling procedures

  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with team members, other departments, and guests

  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on guest satisfaction

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays

  • Proficiency in using housekeeping or property management systems is an advantage.
