Description

We are looking for a highly professional Housekeeping Supervisor to join our Housekeeping team for the very exciting opening of The Alfriston located in East Sussex, which dates back to the 14th century and is the fourth property in the growing Signet Collection. 

The newly refurbished Hotel has 38 beautifully redesigned bedrooms and suites, a stunning function room, The 1554 Brasserie, offering views over the front lawn towards the sea and revamped herb and vegetable plots across the hotel gardens. The hotel bar offers more casual dining for guests both in and outdoors, while the Orangery serves breakfast and afternoon tea with views over the rear gardens and the Signet spa includes a steam room, sauna, outdoor swimming pool and three treatment rooms.

You will:

  • Ideally have 2 years' of housekeeping experience in a premium hotel or accommodation provider.
  • Supervise the housekeeping team, in absence of our Head Housekeeper ensuring an smooth housekeeping and laundry operation within the Hotel. 
  • Undertake and engage in all relevant training and development opportunities for your role.
  • Support with mentoring and training less experienced housekeeping team members.
  • Perform regular room inspections, ensuring our standards are upheld. 
  • Ensure that all guest accommodation and public areas are maintained to the highest possible standard of cleanliness and presentation by the housekeeping team. 
  • Be comfortable in dealing with any guest issues quickly and efficiently, to ensure a positive outcome.
  • Liaise with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies.
  • Support with rota management, in absence of our Head Housekeeper.
  • Ensure that all company rules and regulations relating to Health and Safety are followed.
