Description

POSITION: Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk

CLASSIFICATION:  Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO:  Controller

Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Data Entry Clerk at Equator is a key member of the accounting team, responsible for accurately recording and processing invoices, financial transactions, and reconciling vendor statements. This role involves assisting with month-end closing procedures, maintaining accounting records, and providing administrative support as needed. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, and familiarity with Bill.com, Google Workspace & NetSuite; and the ability to prioritize tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. Previous experience in accounts payable is preferred but not required.

Key Responsibilities 
  • Invoice data entry in Bill.com
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements
  • Maintain accounting documents and records
  • Provide administrative support to the accounting department
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a related field preferred 
  • Proficient in data entry and transcribing information accurately
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial documents
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues independently or escalate when necessary
  • Proficient in accounting software (Bill, NetSuite) and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, with familiarity in Google Workspace
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical conduct in handling confidential financial information
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative attitude with a willingness to assist team members and contribute to team success
