Assistant Manager


Description
As the Assistant Manager, you provide the support and leadership to our team that ensures that they feel supported and valued. As an Assistant Manager , your job is to support the FOH team through motivation and positive growth. We hold ourselves to higher standards, in order to do that, we need the best people. Authentic, motivated, and hard working. The Assistant Manager will work with other managers to support the General Manager. This is done through managing and supporting staff, and helping with the day to day operations of the business. This can include assisting with purchasing, scheduling, payroll, financial decision making, and HR related issues.
Assistant Manager Responsibilities:
• Train and develop Front of House employees
• Delegate tasks to the team and provide follow-up, hold the team accountable
• Appropriately handle customer complaints/issues
• Effective Scheduling -- both for coverage and as a Labor Cost Control
• Ensure proper cash handling and deposit procedures are followed
Physical Functions
• Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 50 hours a week
• Ability to stand/walk for 10-12 hours per day
• Must be able to exert well-paced and frequent mobility for periods of up to five hours
• Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music, customer and employee traffic
Professional Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 2 years as an Assistant Manager. Fast casual/quick service preferred.
• Strong Management Skills
• Ability to maintain deadlines and prioritize while running an effective shift
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Must have Food Handler's Certificate
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to write effective schedules and maintain labor goals
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
