Description
JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the development of business and financial reports of a Business Unit (SBU), essential to the monitoring and achievement of the company’s overall business goals. S/he is the custodian of the company’s short to long-term target and budget financials.  S/he likewise is responsible for building financial models, templates and systems to support the business unit – SBU.  S/he will provide support in the financial evaluation of existing and potential assets, products, campaigns, and other initiatives, as well as information and intelligence of market developments.  Further, the Senior Financial Analyst will manage the key cost drivers across the business units (from Store Operations to Manufacturing and Supply Chain), as well as support inventory management. S/he will coordinate and submit financial reports to the General Managers, District Managers, Operations Directors, and to the President and Head Office (Manila) Finance and Corporate Planning Groups, ensuring adherence to the organization’s standards and compliance to all company, government, and legal requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

SPECIFIC KEY RESULT AREA (KRA)

Data & Financial Modeling / Template Creation / Reports Generation

1.       Coordinate with SBU Leadership team members (GMs/DMs/DOs/SBU head) to understand their business needs and processes, then lead the team in creating financial tools enabling faster and accurate analyses.

2.       Support the team in improving (automation, deeper logic, long-term use) existing financial tools/templates/reports for efficiency and deeper insights enabling more informed decision making.

3.       Contribute in data migration/mapping process for future system solutions coming from legacy platforms.

4.       Provide periodic forecasts as well as the 5-year financial plan for the SBU. Assess financial strategies to achieve long-term sustainable growth.

5.       Provide guidance and support to store, manufacturing (if applicable), and support center departments in analyzing weekly/monthly/quarterly financials (Ledgers and P&Ls).

6.       Do Ad-hoc analysis and reporting (e.g., channel mix analysis, product mix analysis, etc.)

7.       Recommend opportunities/strategies for profit maximization and profit sustainability to the SBU.


Budget Lead & Custodian

  • Act as custodian and lead the creation & facilitation of company financial budgets
  • Guide/coach team members in the development and finalization of financial short- and long- term financial goals
  • Monitor budget and target performance, and realign the business to stay on track of financial plans
  • Make recommendations to business heads in achieving set goals.

Cost Management & Strategies

  • Update costs for both Store/Restaurant and Manufacturing businesses to ensure accurate and timely reflection of margins and profitability   
  • Forecast costs based on business dynamics and market/industry trends or developments
  • Determine costs and margins across the different business units/brands, across multiple pricing or cost

People Management & Development

  • Achieve Management Team Effectiveness through:
    • Effective communication and coordination among team members
    • Maintaining and/or enhancing morale level among team members
    • Effective performance management & personal development

  1. Perform other assignments from time to time as directed by management.
  2. Perform administrative duties as necessary i.e. making copies, filing, etc.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education 
  • At least College Degree or related courses in Business, Management, Finance, or equivalent combination of education & experience.
Experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in finance/analytics – restaurant industry experience required
(Training, License & Certification)

CFA / CPA as an advantage
