Description
JOB SUMMARY
The position is responsible in the management of the food safety and quality performance of JFC North America Philippine Brands Restaurants/Bakeshops, and Commissary in the East Coast. Deployment and monitoring of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems and related programs and initiatives, conduct of FSQ audit and other evaluation activities, and analysis of performance results for improvement.

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN NJ/NY.  Work may be performed remotely, with regular visits to the restaurants and bakeshops in NJ & NY, as well as to the Red Ribbon Bakeshop Manufacturing Plant in: 166 Coolidge Ave Englewood, NJ 07631. Candidate must be a resident of NJ/NY. The job requires 50% travel.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Key Result Area 1: Restaurant|Bakeshop|Commissary Audit 

  • Conduct of Supply Chain QMS audit in commissaries, distribution centers, or external suppliers.
Key Result Area 2: Audit Management
  1. Coordination with JFC NA PB QM regarding audit details.
  2. Creation and communication of FSQ audit deployment plan to auditors;
  3. Management of feedback / evaluation received from auditees; and review of audit reports and auditor accuracy;

Key Result Area 3: Account Management

  1. Driving of compliance of JFC North America commissaries, depots and/or external suppliers with established Quality and Food Safety Systems through the following:
  • Validation of Corrective Action / Preventive Action plans submitted and implemented;
  • Management of incidences (i.e. delivery rejections, customer & in-store complaints, product recall, among others) through monitoring, investigation, and coaching;
  • Development of programs / projects to elevate the account’s quality and food safety systems through coaching and review;
  • Collaboration with other support groups and SBU to elevate the quality system of the Supply Chain.
  • Key Result Area 4: Design and Development

    1. Development of JFC Supply Chain Quality & Food Safety Management Systems based on best-in-class systems applied and implemented by various companies;
    2. Development and implementation of programs and monitoring tools to ensure Quality and Food Safety of the whole JFC Supply Chain.
    3. Monitor project development, adherence to timelines, budgets and other performance standards.

    Key Result Area 5 : Training and Competency

    1. Conduct of trainings and orientations on QMS;
    2. Conduct of audit calibration and alignment to ensure auditor competency and accuracy
    Key Result Area 6: Quality Performance and Improvement
    1. Creation of database for CQM Supply Chain;
    2. Collection, summarization, and preparation of reports on Supply Chain information;
    3. Initiate process improvements with SBU and Corp functional groups from data analyzed
    JOB SPECIFICATIONS
    Education and Experience
    • At least Associate Degree or related courses in Food Science, Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing, Management or other related discipline.
    • With 2 - 3 years work experience in a Food Service/Restaurant/Manufacturing operation in related field or function;
    • Demonstrated experience in quality standards audit preferably in food service/restaurant/manufacturing business; managing, collaborating and influencing people or teams preferably in the food service/manufacturing industry setting, or equivalent combination of education & experience from which comparable knowledge, skills & abilities have been achieved.
    • Computer Literacy:  Proficient in MS Applications (MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint), specifically advanced knowledge in Excel; other database management platform, and  trainable in other softwares related to food analysis.

    Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications (BFQs) (Required Training, License & Certification)

    Food Safety Certificate

    Trained/Certified on : GMP, 5S
