Lead Market Maintenance Technician- Modesto Market

The Lead Market Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, appearance, and functionality of multiple McDonald's restaurants within our Modesto market. This position supports restaurant operations by performing preventive maintenance, equipment repairs with an emphasis on refrigeration and HVAC systems, facility upkeep, and ensuring compliance with McDonald's brand standards.

We're looking for someone with a sense of urgency and a “what else can I do to help?” attitude: someone who puts safety first, keeps the customer in mind, and works well with a team. We'll support you with the tools, equipment, and training you need to succeed.

1.      Perform routine inspections of restaurant facilities and equipment.

2.      Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment, refrigeration systems, ice machines, HVAC units, lighting, plumbing, and fixtures.

3.      Complete facility repairs as needed, including tile, painting, light electrical, and plumbing.

4.      Coordinate with outside vendors for major repairs, keeping service timely and cost-effective.

5.      Maintain restaurant grounds, parking lots, exterior signage, and landscaping.

6.      Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and food safety standards.

7.      Complete preventive maintenance schedules on grills, fryers, beverage systems, and other restaurant equipment.

8.      Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including after-hours service calls.

9.      Maintain accurate repair records and service documentation.

10.   Assist restaurant management in identifying maintenance priorities and capital improvement needs.

11.   Travel to assigned McDonald's restaurants within the Modesto market in a company-provided vehicle.

12.   Support General Managers, Supervisors, and the Director of Operations with larger improvement projects.

1.      High school diploma or equivalent.

2.      Experience in maintenance, facilities management, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related fields preferred; certifications preferable.

3.      Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

4.      Ability to operate maintenance tools and equipment safely.

5.      Valid driver's license.

6.      Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders when necessary.

7.      Flexibility to work evenings and weekends and respond to urgent maintenance issues.
