Join Just Salad as our Supply Chain and Sustainability Analyst and play a critical role in supporting our mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible. This role is part of a passionate, collaborative Supply Chain team that works closely with other key stakeholders to ensure the efficient management of our supply chain across various categories, including produce, protein, dairy, snacks, grocery, beverages, and packaging. Your contributions will directly impact the operational and financial success of our growing restaurant concept. In line with Just Salad’s mission to make everyday health and sustainability possible, you will also support initiatives to reduce Just Salad’s environmental footprint.
Reports to: Supply Chain and Sustainability Director
This position is hybrid and based out of our NYC office. You will be required to come into the office on set days.
Key Responsibilities:
Category Management:
Manage categories within the supply chain (e.g., packaging, grocery, snacks, etc.) by establishing and maintaining vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, collaborating with distributors to ensure stock availability, and identifying cost-saving measures and sustainability improvements where possible.
Reporting and Analysis:
Conduct price auditing, menu costing, and ESG reporting, including annual impact reports, B Corp certification, reusable bowl program tracking, carbon labels, and annual corporate Scope 1, 2, and 3 inventories.
Menu R&D:
Assist with seasonal and permanent menu development by conducting the RFP process for new SKUs, collaborating with Culinary and Marketing teams on menu launches, and coordinating with distributors to manage the inventory of seasonal SKUs.
Inventory Management:
Assist with store inventory reporting using software such as Restaurant365.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
Knowledge of food and beverage purchasing processes or a strong desire to learn independently.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communicator, capable of engaging with internal teams and external vendors.
