Description

We are looking for an HR Business Partner to help lead the rapid growth of Just Salad’s restaurants. This role will sit under the HR team. You will play a key role in partnering with our Operations team across the nation to guide and support them. This role is perfect for someone who is detail oriented, organized, is data driven and works well under pressure and comfortable working directly with company leadership. 

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

This position is on-site: hybrid schedule with 4 days in the office 

Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure Ops and HR are aligned on procedures and guidelines from a compliance perspective. 
  • Respond to and investigate thoroughly employee complaints; partnering with Operations through the process.
  • Review and assist the field operations team in handling employee relations cases, including disciplinary action and case resolution- including but not limited to intake of complaints, conducting thorough investigations, and closing cases.
  • Update changes in raises, transfers, and positions for employees. 
  • Assist in the onboarding of new hires; ensuring all proper documentation is completed and uploaded to the system. 
  • Assist in the exit interview of employees. 
  • Perform compliance audits on a bi-weekly, monthly, and as needed basis. 
  • Support with the design and implementation of current and new company policies and procedures. 
  • Communicate with employees to resolve any day-to-day inquiries. 
  • Assist with unemployment filings. 
  • Staying on top of local, state, and federal labor and wage laws and regulations 
  • Lead by example: create trust and a positive workplace culture. 
  • Build a solid relationship with leaders in the field and in the office to promote HR involvement/value. 
  • Assist the HR team with any ad hoc projects. 

Qualifications: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in a fast-paced environment and/or high volume industry. 
  • 1-3 years of experience handling employee relations cases
  • Extremely detail oriented- no detail is missed! 
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills. 
  • Strong excel skills 
  • Exercises discretionary skills 
  • A problem solver! No problem is too big. 
  • Superior communication skills with stakeholders of all levels. 
  • Previous experience working in hospitality or retail industry preferred.
