Sous Chef

For those looking to progress in their career this is the perfect opportunity for you! A perfect environment to get stuck into all things food, with a full team and business on the rise. 

We are looking for a Sous Chef who will work alongside our current head chef of over 40 years, as well as fully staffed kitchen team. We are a flourishing business in the heart of Roehampton, and use seasonal British ingredients to make up our incredible ever-changing menu. With our vision to make this the next foodie hot spot in the south west. We are looking for an experienced Sous Chef who can lead a kitchen during the festive period, we also offer bespoke training plan so if a role as a Head Chef is within your career ambitions we will ensure training courses and in hosue training are part of your everyday.

Our current menu and menus going forward have sole creation in house so a creative flare and passion for food is essential. We will require festive period working including Christmas day. There is the possibility for a live in position to be discussed.

What we look for in a Sous Chef:

We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP looking for their next step, who considers themselves as a natural leader with a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Sous Chef you will:

  • Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
  • Demonstrate a passion for leading and developing a team
  • Be an active hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills
  • Be responsible and able to manage the kitchen staff rota, training and all health and safety effectively at all times
  • Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
  • Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
  • Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
