We’re a thriving, high‑volume gastro pub serving fresh, seasonal food with daily changing specials crafted in‑house. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a talented Second Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team and help drive quality, consistency, and creativity.

About the Role

As Second Sous Chef, you’ll play a key role in supporting the kitchen leadership team and ensuring smooth service in a busy, fast‑paced environment. You’ll work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to:

  • Prepare and deliver fresh, high‑quality dishes across all sections

  • Contribute ideas to daily specials and seasonal menu development

  • Lead the kitchen team during service when senior chefs are off‑duty

  • Maintain excellent food safety and hygiene standards

  • Support stock control, ordering, and GP management

  • Train and mentor junior chefs to build a strong, motivated team

This is a hands‑on role ideal for a chef who thrives in a high‑volume setting and wants to grow their skills in leadership, creativity, and kitchen management.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in fresh‑food kitchens, ideally at gastro pub or restaurant level

  • Confident running sections independently during busy services

  • Organised, reliable, and calm under pressure

  • Passionate about seasonal cooking and eager to contribute ideas

  • A team player with strong communication skills

  • Ambitious and ready to step up when needed
