JOB SUMMARY

As a Banqueting Demi Chef De Partie, you will support the senior chefs in delivering high-quality food for conferences, weddings, and large-scale events. You will assist in the preparation, production, and presentation of dishes across plated service, buffets, and bespoke event menus. You will manage designated sections during banqueting service, ensuring consistency, precision, and excellence in high-volume, time-sensitive environments. This role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform effectively under pressure. Your tasks as a Banqueting Demi Chef De Partie will include, but not be limited to:

  • Assist in the preparation and production of dishes for banqueting events in accordance with event briefs, function sheets, and senior chef guidance.

  • Lead assigned sections during prep and service, supervising Commis Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery for large-scale service.

  • Execute mise en place and bulk preparation with precision, ensuring consistency across high-volume plated or buffet service.

  • Cook, plate, and present dishes in line with established standards, ensuring uniformity in portioning and presentation across all covers.

  • Maintain strict food safety, hygiene, and allergen controls, ensuring compliance with HACCP and company policies.

  • Conduct regular quality checks throughout preparation and service to uphold excellence in taste, temperature, and visual appeal.

  • Work collaboratively with the Events and Stewarding teams to ensure smooth service delivery and adherence to event timelines.

  • Support the Senior Chef De Partie and Sous Chef in stock control, minimising waste and maintaining an organised and efficient working environment.
